vendor match code issue

Hi All,

When the user is going to Tcode ME33K/ME33L/ME23N, press F4 in agreement/Po number, and try to searcg the document by vendor, again press F4 in vendor field, it comes to match code->vendor general.

Here in the field name user enters *delphi*, which shows all the list of vendor that contains delphi name.

When the user selects any vendor, instead of the populating vendor code in the vendor field, it is populating the "part of city name" inthe vendor field, due to which the search code/match code is failing

Kindly tell what may the reason for this.
