When system checks for Placement/Removal, System first check Storage type assigned to Warehouse. Then go to Search sequence defined based on movement type. This defined in OMLY transaction.
Similar to storage bin search system first check material master for storage type and fixed bin. If this data one found - then goes to storage type determination search criteria.
Based on the above information defined in search table, system proposed the correct storage type based on the sequence defined for putaway and picking movement.
Once the storage type is selected, then system search the correct bin according to the putaway and picking strategy defined for the storage type also system follows below setting before proposing the bins. Then system determines Storage type linked to Storage Unit type and Storage bin type.
